Interesting to know yours did not! I'm starting to think it's just a "breaking-in" thing for me. I wore them again for a full day after I posted the review and although they still hurt the top of my feet when I was sitting it seemed to be less than the first time. I too loved my Timberlands! Just FYI, I did not have the same problem with the shoes hurting the top of my feet. It may be that the fit is a little different between yours and mine, or maybe it's related to the fact that my shoes are the wide version.
