So Much Better!
Is that my name up on that list? Does someone know that I exist?! Is this a mistake?!? Am I even awake?!?! Pinch me now to make sure!!!! OW YES! Is that my name in black and white? YOUR BLOGGER IS DOING SOMETHING RIGHT! I feel so much BETTER than before 
And if you couldn’t guess from my lovely rendition of Legally Blonde The Musical “So Much Better” I GOT INTO NURSE PRACTITIONER SCHOOL!!!! OMG!! You all remember how I applied to Regis College Direct Entry Program last minute, but was really excited about it just the same. Well, apparently they are excited (or at least interested) in me too! I had the phone interview Tuesday and got my acceptance letter in the mail on Friday! OMG! (Note to all the LBTM fans… maybe I should try a rendition of “OMG YOU GUYS” next considering how many times I’ve said it so far hehe)
Anyway so I’m like 99% positive I’m going to go to Regis, but I want to take the week and look over all my schools and just make sure I don’t want to wait to hear from Northeastern or get off the waitlist at MGH, but I think I might like Regis’s program better anyway so why wait? Then what’s the next step? Well from what my sister read off the phone to me… OH WAIT
Funny story I have to back track. So my younger sister is home on Spring Break this week. And my younger brother went to pick her up on Friday. She comes home and she was online and our conversation went something like this:
Jen: Are you home yet?
Sis: Yeah I just got home.
blah blah blah we chat
Jen: Did you get the mail today?
Sis: No do you want me to?
Jen: YEAH!
Sis goes to get the mail… 1 min later
Sis: Congrats u got into Regis
Jen (thinking wow you’re mean): seriously? come on
Sis: no seriously
Jen: OMG CALL ME…NOW…FASTER…YOU’RE SLOW
Haha then we had a phone conversation where I screamed in her ear and she like blurted out the letter for me. So I only remember bits and pieces… first bit I remember: Send in your FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR deposit and your response card. As my excitement wore off (although not completely…never completely with me I’m too excited) I heard my bank account empty out. I mean come on seriously. I just got out of undergrad. I have like no money. GRAD SCHOOL LOANS HERE I COME!
There ya go… that’s my exciting news. I will keep you updated of course in the blog

p.s. I’m sort of fascinated with “vlogs” now. I wish that I was even a little skilled with the camera because I would so do one instead of writing (not that writing isn’t fun…it’s fabulous) just cuz it would be fun to actually SEE my excitement. And I came across a couple of really good ones for nursing students and I will give them shout outs here and point you to their videos. And these are on youtube: first there is hannahdemarco and she does “confessions of a nursing student” so cute and genuine. They were really fun. And the second is: itzcecile and she has 4 videos up about nursing school and is really funny and also does a great job. You should check them out!
